Social Action
Living the Gospel through service to others
Inspired by Catholic Social Teaching, our Social Action groups reach out to those in need — locally, nationally and across the world. There are plenty of ways to get involved and make a real difference.

PASTORAL CARE
BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT
Caring for those who have lost a loved one is a living example of God's compassionate mercy. Our group meets regularly to ensure that all who have been bereaved are contacted and offered practical and pastoral help. The group also arranges a special Mass at 12 noon on the last Saturday of each month for all those mourning the loss of a loved one, as well as an annual Mass in November for all who have died during the year.

JUSTICE & PEACE GROUP
The Justice and Peace Group has been active at St Alban's for nearly 40 years. We seek to understand the meaning of justice in the light of the Gospel and Catholic Social Teaching, raise awareness of injustice in the world and take action to build a better world. We are a small but active group, well known in local churches and the national and north west Justice & Peace network. Everyone is welcome. Download our annual programme of activities or find out more about the group via the parish office.
