ST ALBAN'S SECOND WORLD WAR MEMORIAL

Inside St. Alban's church, on the west wall, in front of the Lady Chapel, is a memorial to the nineteen parishioners who died in service during the Second World War.

Above the names is the inscription:

Please pray for the members of St Alban's parish who lost their lives in conflict

Below the names is the inscription:

Dying you destroyed our death
Rising you restored our life

The list of the service personnel's names is presented alphabetically by surname. The only exception to this is the addition of William Shields who died in the Korean War.
